Holland sends lots of their pretty tulips to Canada and we get to enjoy them at the Tulip Festival. The flowers were beautiful! Caleb enjoyed dancing to the high school jazz band playing tunes under the tent. And he walked with his head held high that day, as if he was glad to be doing the same thing that all the giant grown-ups were doing all around him.

My friend Amy gave me this great idea! I put chocolate pudding on Caleb's tray and he "finger painted" with the yummy stuff. And oh man, it was EVERYWHERE when he was finally finished. This was so much fun to watch. We capped off the evening with a bath!! (Another friend suggested I add food coloring to vanilla pudding to make other colors of this edible finger paint. Mmmm!)

Caleb found Jason's goggles and was actually willing to wear them! We called them glasses, though. He kept brushing his fingertips against the lenses to understand exactly what was on his face. So funny!! He reminds me of the Jerry Maguire kid.

Ottawa's Race Weekend is HUGE!! Jason and I ran in the 5k race with Caleb in the stroller. Caleb was fussy sitting in the stoller in the afternoon sun while we waited for the race to start, but there wasn't a peep from him until after we finished. He's probably looking at me so strangely because my face is bright pink!! I loved this day with my family.

After the 5k race was over, we rested in Confederation Park by the fountain. Caleb was enthralled! He just couldn't seem to get close enough.
