Jason's parents came to vistit for a few days at the begining of May. It was their first time to see Caleb in person. They took walks together with Caleb, spent early mornings together (while I went back to sleep!), and watched him while Jason and I went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary (4 yrs!).

Acuda "bagged" another one: One of the more exciting events of their visit was when Acuda chased, caught and killed a squirrel. I witnessed the pursuit and sad events that followed. It's so strange to see my dog take the life of another living creature. He was so proud, though!
As a contribution to our life and ministry in Ottawa, Jason's parents helped us purchase and install tile in our foyer. For the entire winter, we'd been walking in and out on the subfloor. It was such an accomplishment to see the finished project. Thank you, thank you Grandad and GiGi!

Jason and I were blessed with the opportunity to fly to Atlanta for a week with the CCSB (Canadian Convention of Southern Baptists). One of the most exciting aspects of this trip was taking Caleb on his first international plane ride. He was a GEM the entire flight - a true provision from the Lord! We also cherished this trip because it was the first time for some of our family to see Caleb.

My brother, Christopher, had some quality time with Caleb during the week and did a great job holding him.

Jason's brother, Eric, had never met Caleb. Sometimes, Caleb riminds me of Eric because of his blonde hair.

My cousin, Ashley came down from Tennessee to see us! She's grown up SO much, and loved being with Caleb. We had lots of fun conversations about breastfeeding!

I love this picture because of these are some of my favorite women in my family. My aunt Elaine came down with Ashley for the weekend. It was a little surreal to have her holding MY baby. She's been like a 2nd mother to me, and now she'll be like another grandmother!
Caleb met a new friend while we were in Atlanta. Her name is Avery! Avery's parents, RJ and Rosie, are great friends of ours from Berry College. Between all the sleeping and eating they both did that night, they barely had any real hang out time.

Here is Avery's dad, RJ, holding Caleb. We'll start referring to him as Uncle RJ from now on!

Speaking of "uncles"...This is Uncle Chris holding Caleb. Chris and his wife, Michelle, are also great friends from Berry, and they spent some quality time with Caleb, too.

I saved one of the prettiest pictures for last. Rosie, Michelle, and I snuggled close for this one. I found it so relaxing to be among old friends!!
Another highlight of our trip was packing everyone up to see a Braves game. This was obviously Caleb's first time at Turner Field! It was a chilly night to be sitting in the top of the stadium, but we had him bundled up tight.

We had to take a family photo at the ball park. It was way past Caleb's bedtime when the game was finally over. This close up of Caleb and Jason shows off Caleb's Braves outfit. Jason's mom found this uniform/hat combination, and he filled it out nicely.
Since we traveled such a long way to attend the game, we tried to use that as a way to get on TV. Our signs said, "I came 1200 miles...for my 1st Braves game." The rumor is that someone saw us on TV, but none of us have actually seen the footage yet!

Jason really knows when to have the camera ready! He grabbed these cute shots as Caleb was waking up from a nap. Precious!

Can you relate? I found myself in the familiar situation of having a baby in my arms and needing to pick up another object. This time, it was the laundry basket full of clean clothes. The best solution was to combine the baby with the clean clothes! Caleb's first instinct was to put Jason's clean undershirt into his mouth!
