So the snow is melting in earnest now, and thankfully, that's no April Fool's joke. With the rising temps and the sunshine we've been getting, we all braved a trip to the local dogpark--a place we have really grown to know and love. Caleb still isn't very big, so he snuggles in real close--not that I mind! Sloshing around the park with extra weight on my chest makes for a pretty good workout, and the extra workout means extra body-heat to keep the little guy warm. Talk about a good team!



The other day mom went to get a haircut, so Caleb saddled up in similar fashion, and he and dad made their first trip to The Home Depot together. Ah, getting things started off right--too bad I didn't bring the camera for that "first."

Jason ordered a new computer and it was delivered while he was taking a shower. Caressa and I decided to help Caleb announce the computer's arrival. Caleb did a flawless job, and Jason was surprised!

Caressa and Jason gathered all of Caleb's animal friends for a photo shoot. This one with his steed is a favorite of our little cowboy. Can you see Caleb in the middle of the animal crowd?

Caressa came to visit over her Spring Break! She has great style and helped pass that on to Caleb by bringing him a new outfit. He looked so sporty in his baseball tee and swooshy running pants!

Ottawa's weather is starting to turn towards Spring. At my first opportunity, I set Caleb's play-yard up on the back steps. He experienced plenty of sunshine and fresh air. The breeze blowing through the mesh seemed to take his breath away. He was happy long enough for me to do a little gardening. I just had to take a picture of the two of us before going inside. He was happy - I promise!

Caleb is enjoying his bath time more and more. He sits nice and still (for the time being) and loves the warm water. But like all of us, he doesn't enjoy the cold transition from the bath to the towel. After the bath, his peach fuss is especially fluffy. Adorable!!

The warm weather and melting snow also means that our family can enjoy walks together. Here's Caleb and I on our first walk! We even took Acuda with us, too. I wasn't surprised to see Caleb sleeping just a few minutes into the walk. Our next big adventure will be to take the stroller to the dog park!

Another sunny day brought more outdoor activity. We were on our way to the dog park and needed a way to protect Caleb's head from the sun. We don't have any cool hats to fit his tiny head, so we outfitted him with his first doo-rag. Between his wiggling and the wind, it didn't stay on for long.

It's little things that remind us that Caleb is growing up. His grip is stronger, and he's focusing on objects really well. This colorful rattle provided great practice for both of those skills!

My great girlfriend at church made this sweater for Caleb. The orange and blue logo on the front represents our church, and it fits him perfectly. For this photoshoot, I set him up with the props that any good preacher uses - a big desk chair, a phone, and the Bible.
